I think it is often viewed as odd or frowned upon, but let's be honest, when you can discuss a good book, there is not much better. Only thing that puts me off is reading some modern day semi-literate rubbish that goes for literature these days, when I prefer the classics. I can't stand most of the tripe that is on offer these days - I'm often told that my writing style is 'old fashioned' and I always take that as a compliment (even though I know it isn't meant as one).
