Xmas tree £70 in tesco

Recommended Posts

Hi

Weve got a xmas tree from argos (came with trimmings and things for fire place) had it about 7yrs, problem is i think it looks sparce (gaps between branches).

There is one in tesco reduced at £70 (7ft tesco finest alpine) looks on photo stunning, says its not sparce, with pine cones. Has anyone else bought it? Whats it like? Its expensive but maybe its worth it?

It's a plastic tree you get out for two weeks a year.

Is it worth it?

Think what else you could do with £70

For example, for £60 you could help plant 4 trees with the woodland trust, have a tenner left over, and a self satisfaction that lasts all year!

or, spend £70 on your favourite tinned beverage, and make a tree

Or have 20 pints of lager, have a tenner left for a taxi home and have a hangover for two days.

Was in John Lewis yesterday and found their tree selection dissapointing, looked half dead.

They did have some nice crackers made from newspaper, so if they can do it (and flog them) i'm going to be wrapping my pressies in all the free papers that get shoved thru the letterbox.
