Scozzie
I have a question for everyone. if someone said they were going to buy a 'full set' of roses, how many would you be expecting? I would think 48, but I wouldn't want that many. What are your views?

rubydazzler
Meaning flowers? or sweets? I've never heard the phrase before, but traditionally, it's a dozen (12) red roses for the big impression. It wouldn't impress me, especially if they were those long stemmed dark red ones. I'd rather have a massive hand tied bunch of pink peonies, or lilies or something totally different. Red roses are sent by men with little or no imagination. Guest
Never heard of a 'full set' of roses. A dozen is traditional, if rather clichéd. Rose number symbolism, though they probably made it up. I prefer sweet peas.

Scozzie
I dont think it is an actual term, but my O/H set a bet and if I won, he said he would buy me a 'full set' of roses... yes, the flowers. (how may stems do you got in a box of roses chocolates??) He has imagination - I think he has only bought me red roses once. He ususally buys me brightly coloured, beautiful bunches.
