Owl84
And Wendel, someone posted on here a while ago about the packs been limited to a lot less than 16kg. And I've seen delivery men carting more than that to shops and people walking to and from town on the same pavements with heavier bags. Its Health and Safety rules the post men cant help that. wendelspans
Some of them appear to be doing so???? I know. We've had post for the last 2 days and also a parcel today which I missed because I was out !! Can't believe Royal Mail never 'phoned me first before attempting delivery !! honeymon
I've had a delivery today, just a magazine and letter, no parcels. At least they're delivering something but I'd really like my parcels to arrive soon. The backlog isn't going to get cleared if they don't start delivering them. Owl84
There not delivering parcels at present and clearing the back log of letters ive been told that its doubtful they'll get here for xmas
honeymon
When I phoned they said they wouldn't be able to tell me if anything waiting. Also people seem to have been told no point going to collect unless they'd been given a card. Maybe it depends which person answers the phone. Leah-Lacie
Im sure over time is offered they cant make people work longer than contracted hours. My mates are Postmen and deliver parcels and then do a round they grab as many hours as they can but unfortunately not everyone does. I ordered something off Amazon Saturday came today good old Royal Mail! It wouldn't be over time though. Would it? The back log is caused mostly by them not being able to work last week

I think it must be a lot harder to walk constantly with a bag of mail for 4+ hours than hump something from the back of a van into a shop though.
