In a near 20 year career he has forged a reputation as a fluent and powerful songwriter and an innovative, exciting guitar player. He melds funk, jazz and rock into his blues creating a highly personal style. His album “A Time and Place” received widespread praise in national music press. R2 called the album as “Dynamic and hugely enjoyable”, Guitar and Bass praised his “steely tone”. Blues Matters described it as “impressive”. Every Robin Hoare Band show is unique, featuring contemporary songs and inspired improvisation. Graham Rhodes of bluesinthenorthwest.com described a recent concert by the band as “spellbinding”. Grey Cooper is a rising force in Sheffield. He has a strong band of followers in the Steel City. His Blues Experience borrows from jazz and funk, fused with Chicago, Delta and roadhouse blues styles. Grey hails from London originally and has toured extensively including alongside soul legend Eddie Floyd. Grey Cooper Blues Experience are a super tight six piece all topped off with Grey’s accomplished singing and thrilling guitar work.
