chem1st Posted December 1, 2010 Share Posted December 1, 2010 Personally I cannot stand megathreads, they contain too much mish-mashed information for me to make any sense of them. Responses to multiple OPs all in one thread with a single OP makes them very hard to follow. (If this thread is removed, could I please be informed why, as I feel the megathreads deserve critiscism). medusa Posted December 1, 2010 Share Posted December 1, 2010 If you knew quite how much system resources opening a new thread took, and quite how close hundreds of people starting threads at the same time about the same subject comes to stopping the forum working at all, then you would understand exactly why it is necessary for things such as discussion of the snow (by hundreds of people at a time) to be held on threads which are already open.
