clarew
it may not seem like a good deed to most but the people walking to work and making sure they get there DO deserve credit too. My hubby has walked for 2 hours to get to work, he works at a supermarket and if he hadn't walked to work it wouldn't be open for everyone to buy their supplies for this weather. He was wet through and freezing after his long walk and is still going to stay at work and walk all the way back home after they shut at 8pm. the white rose
We went up to our allotment and dug through several feet of snow to turn some earth over for the robin who lives there so he could find some worms and didn't go hungry in the snow. Next time we go we're taking him a packed lunch of dried meal worms from the big pet shop at Heeley Retail Park.
horribleblob
Sod all the smuggies who think they should get awards for going to work or awards for staying at home. How many have actually done something meaningful, with no thought of remuneration? Have you shovelled snow for the neighbours car, fetched the old lady some milk or helped child mind or dog walk.? I imagine a lot of people are doing stuff like this but perhaps don't wish to say so on a public forum.
