User Name:
Doncaster Sheffield has been closed throughout the day (01/12/10) and will remain closed until at least midday on Thursday 2nd December 2010. So they wont be flying at 9, maybe they can get a later flight?
Cynic
On Radio Sheffield they were saying that people have been told their travel insurance is only valid if they go to the airport, even if it is closed. That doesn't seem to make much sense but it would be worthwhile checking if you are in that situation.
Raychul69
Can she just not tell the insurance company she got there and it was closed? If they're closed they're not going to know any different are they
upinwath
I think the insurance companies would have a hell of a fight if they refused a payout because it was unsafe/impossible to get to a closed airport. If the airport site says 'closed'/phone call to airline says cancelled and the police advice is don't go I think you would win a court battle with ease.
