boyfriday
I wonder what the statistics are for people who suffer hypothermia compared to those who are abducted by strangers who stop to offer them a lift during inclement weather?
southeylass
They could sneak up behind you walking on the street alone. i know there is alsorts what could happen, especially walking to work in the dark an then coming home in dark so taking a risk both ways. boyfriday
Oh god I see where this thread is leading!! I'm gonna Google statistics and beat you all to it!!! You'll probably not find any Raychul, it was only an observation to try and keep things in perspective, I cant ever remember hearing of someone being abducted by a motorist who offered to give them a life home when it was snowing. Such invitations are usually motivated by kindness rather than a desire to harm someone.
natalie H
I would definitely walk. I would never accept a lift from a stranger.

poppins
Depends on your age, I would take a lift from a stranger in bad weather, also there's more decent people in the world than badies, we only hear about the bad ones, don't we ?

vwkittie
We offered a lift to someone this morning but they declined. I'd be glad of an offer of a lift in this weather, I'd accept it so long as the person didn't look like a complete psycho freak (blood dripping down chin, axe in the back etc).
