  1. 1. Should we think of introducing the Polar Bear to the UK ?

    • Yes good Idea, we need to preserve the species.
    • Lets just leave it to nature, if they make it here then so be it.
    • No we have enough bloody foreigners.
    • Do what you want Im moving to Africa.
    • Wouldn't they be ok where they are if the northern hemisphere froze ?
    • What's a hemisphere ?

You mean re-introduce them surely. They only died out in Sheffield in the early years of this century. They used to be a common sight along the Don's banks hunting the arboreal penguins.

There's a thread on SF somewhere all about it.

Well I think they look kind of cute an cuddly so I wouldn't mind the back.

Maybe we should start to re introduce salmon into the Don in anticipation of their arrival ?

Just suppose the gulf stream switched off and the northern hemisphere turned into a snow ball, should we think about introducing the Polar Bear to the UK or just let nature take its course and let them make their own way here ?

They could be housed as chav pets, they'd look well 'ard on a lead.
