anon11
Why will changing your profile picture on facebook, have any impact on cruelty to children ? Im puzzled. Im sure these people who have done this, would have had much more impact by picking up their phone and reporting any incident/concern that they feel a child is at risk. I wish people would not feel peer pressure, to join such campaign's just to make themselves feel better. Get pro active and do something more positive, before another child is harmed!!! kaitimaiti
Surely the campaign will get people thinking and talking about child abuse and how they can help to stop it, it can only be a positive thing. Will be interesting to see if the reporting rate rises.....even if only one person is encouraged to report then it's worth it. The fact that you have posted on here shows it having some effect

jamie0114
The NSPCC say they didn't start it but are glad of the publicity this is causing. The publicity will mean more people will donate so that's how it helps. Besides, it took me ages to pick out my character and I enjoyed doing it. Lockjaw
Tinks21 very interesting point ! yes how many will donate? Possibly a similar proportion to those who watch the Children in Need stuff on TV and donate.
kimberley123
Well if it has saved at least one child or one more donation then it has done some good at least
