alex3659 Posted December 6, 2010 Share Posted December 6, 2010 After all the negative posts on this forum about the Sherwood pub I think it only fair I give my experience of the place. I have been for two meals in the last two weeks and the staff are brilliant. They were very helpfull and didn't mind spending time explaining things on the menu and service came with a smile. The steaks I have had were nice and cooked as I asked them to be. The landlady went round all the tables asking if everything was ok and worked very hard to make sure of a smooth running ship. She never stopped working and was polite friendly and helpfull it was a pleasure to be there and the whole experience was a good one. jennyfour Posted December 7, 2010 Share Posted December 7, 2010 I and my family and friends have been there twice in the last few weeks. Last week in the snow with our toddler and the staff were great. They made a fuss of her and the food was great. We had the fish and chip friday thing and the batter was the best I have tasted in a very long time. Lovely meal and great service. Nothing was too much trouble.
