ukjazzer
What a complete dump the town centre is ! It's almost as bad as Rotherham Town Centre but on a much smaller scale ! The local MP Natascha Engle should be ashamed of herself. Is'nt it the local MP's job to attract investment into their manor ? Mrs Engle has certainly failed to do so ! The whole town centre is pathetic and very sad. The best thing about Eckington centre is the road out !

No it isn't - the MP is there to represent all people of their constituency in parliament.
ukjazzer
But is'nt Eckington in the constituency Engle represents ? Therefore its up to her to do something about the current state of the disgusting town centre !
Stoatwobbler
But is'nt Eckington in the constituency Engle represents ? Therefore its up to her to do something about the current state of the disgusting town centre ! Natascha Engel also has Dronfield, Killamarsh, Clay Cross and a number of other places to represent. I don't rate her as an MP but the plight of Eckington could hardly be described as all her fault. There's more to any town then the politicans. Smithster
is'nt it Engles job to attract investment and enterprise into run down dumps like eckington town centre ? coz she ain't doing a very good job is she ? I would hazard a guess that any attempt she made would be akin to <removed> in the wind. It doesn't really matter what you do to Eckington town centre - it will still be in Eckington. You can't polish a turd.

willman
In comparison to Rotherham, Eckington is a village. Never has been and never will be a town. And before people quote Wikipedia -thats absolute tosh.
