It seems the Lib Dems have more support on SF than they do in the country.

There is an YouGov poll showing their support has fallen to just 8%:

YouGov – Lib Dems hit 8%Posted on December 8th, 2010 by Anthony Wells

Tonight’s YouGov poll for the Sun has topline figures of CON 41%, LAB 41%, LDEM 8%. It’s the lowest Lib Dem score YouGov have ever shown, and as far as I can tell the lowest Liberal Democrat score any pollster has shown since September 1990, over 20 years ago.

I’ll add my normal caveats about not getting too excited about a single poll, new extreme highs and lows for parties do tend to be the outliers, but nevertheless, the fact that we’ve got our first 8% for the Lib Dems suggests that their support is still on a downwards trend. It is probably no co-incidence that this comes after several days of the Liberal Democrats internal ructions over tuition fees have been all over the political headlines.

The Guardian is saying the Chris Huhne (Lib Dem Climate Change Cabinet Minister - I had to look it up) has privately predicated the Lib Dems will fall to 5% of the vote.

But it didn't as things would be much worse if you hadn't had the Lib Dems in there, believe me.

From that, I presume that you are claiming that the Lib Dems are having some influence over Government policy. Would you care to list their achievements so far.

I could vote now it is no longer public and mess up your results by adding a non-LibDem voter to the mix.

But I won't.

I know my parents have said they won't be voting LibDem again, because they feel betrayed their vote has been used to create a Tory Govt.

its looking bad for old nick:hihi:

No. If they had remained their own party and only supported the tories on a bill by bill basis then they would have had an effect. To sign away their integrity for a couple of cabinet positions is a sell out. Surely they would have had much more sway and influence holding the balance of power rather than signing up to the agreement. As it is they have facilitated a tory government rather than a hung one.
