Public opinion has now turned firmly against the students. Clearly the army was always a terrible and immoral idea, but it's not even remotely needed now. When you've lost the sympathy of the general populace you've lost the fight. I don't agree with the students grievances but I do feel sorry for them and the way that the idiotic loony left anarchists have de-railed their campaign.
