Not really looking for a discussion on machine gunning protesters, just a comparison on the UK's technique compared with the common use of water canon and CS gas in most other countries. But then again neither is violent protest. So given that violent protest does happen if you had to police it how would you deal with large violent crowds? Ask them nicely to stop?
