Does anyone remember being able to buy cans of milk?

Following a debate at work....

 

I remember that you used to be able to buy cans of milk. They were white, and sold in newsagents etc in the fridge with other canned soft drinks. They had an old fashioned ring pull and I think were on sale in the early 90s.

 

It was proper milk, not Carnation or Goats Milk or anything else like that.

 

I've Googled and Wikipediad and Asked Jeeves but nobody in the world apart from me seems to remember this.

 

Can anyone else convince my colleagues that I'm not going mad??

But you're right, you could buy cans of milk. But they do seem to have vanished without trace, pre-web clearly.
