Gladys_Pym
Hi. I'm looking for somewhere for a party. My Dad's 80th is coming up, and I've got about 50 guests, so I'm looking for a venue where I can arrange the food and drink, and there's seating for about 50. Not too pubby, as my mum doesn't like pubs. Any thoughts? G

hennypenny
Walkley community centre is pretty much what you describe. http://firstreet.org.uk/

Tyranna
Try Dempseys at the bottom of the Moor. They have been recently undergoing a refurbishment and host theatrical productions upstairs; I am sure they would like a fortnightly comedy night as well. They also do decent food downstairs until late.

Yeah, I also think the Riverside is the best idea for this night. They have theatre type stuff on and they only get small crowds and it seems to work. A good option for the audience of 20 or 30. PaulaJ
The Red House on Solly Street might be an option.
