Below we have details of two Christmas Fiesta's planned at La Mama. ****** Christmas Eve Come and join us on December 24th for a Latin Christmas Party at La Mama. On Christmas Eve we are open from 12 noon serving tapas, cocktails and coffee throughout the day. Live entertainment from late afternoon, through to evening. ****** New Years Eve For New Years Eve we have a special evening Fiesta planned. We have a splendid set menu (detailed below) and live Latin music through the evening! Feliz Navidad Y Prospero Año Nuevo! x NYE Menu La Mama STARTER Empanada de Queso A traditional Chilean cheese pastry parcel, lightly fried, served with seasonal salad drizzled in whole grain mustard, modena balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. Empanada de Carne A traditional Chilean spicy beef, onion and olive pastry parcel, lightly fried, served with pebre sauce. Sopa Mariscal Fresh mussels, cooked in white wine and garlic with fresh tomatoes, a touch of fresh cream and lots of Kito’s love. Langoustines Grilled king prawns cooked in garlic and fresh parsley, served with seasonal salad, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. MAIN COURSE Cordero Lamb cooked in a rich Chilean red wine and balsamic vinegar, red onions and fresh thyme. Salmon Rosado Pan fried salmon cooked with lemon, lime, garlic and parsley, glazed with extra virgin olive oil, served on a bed of pumpkin, spinach and pine kernels. Sirloin la Pampa Chargrilled prime 15-ounce sirloin steak served with chimichurri sauce. Berenjenas al Horno Oven baked aubergine stuffed with vegetables and rice, topped with goat’s cheese. All main courses served with sweet potato coriander mash and green beans in garlic butter. POSTRE Borrachito Light and fresh liqueur sponge, topped with creamy vanilla mousse served with chilli chocolate and strawberry sauce. Torta Chilena Traditional Chilean homemade cake sponge; layers soaked in vermouth liquor, filled with homemade dulce de leche and pineapple, coated with chantilly cream. A free glass of punch on arrival and live Latin music entertainment. £30 per head.
