Charles Howard 16 spring knife cutler and Benjamin Boulding 18 file cutter drowned at Sandbed close on to Nether Slack, Boulding trying to save Howard

So are you of the same mind that Nether Slack was cross the road from" New Barrack Tavern" ,trying to track down dads sister pre- war

You'd be after Upper Slack which appears to have been Doncasters entry road, Nether Slack Steelworks on the map I have is what used to be Doncasters saw shops next to the Don and opposite Old Park Silvermills.

Hobson Avenue

Anlaby St

Brough St

Cottam St

Upper Slack

with Eden St joining Driffield and Upper Slack.
