Berberis
So we didn't have an hung parliament then? Perhaps this coalition lark is just a figment of everyones' imaginations. Nope, Parliament had not re-sat. You only have a hung parliament with a sitting house of commons (in the UK's case). Technically until parliament had reconvened we still had the incumbent government. Kevski35
I don’t think William hills are fools do you? Exactly, which is why they are offering odds of 4-1 that their will be a GE next year. At them odds, they are still pretty confident that a GE will not occur next year. There the type of odds that draw people in thinking they can quadruple thier money, leaving the bookies with a nice little earner when it doesn't happen. A load of lefties who can't accept that they lost the election and convining each other that its all going to change if they talk about it long enough. Some are even stupid enough to put bets on it. Now here's the funniest thing. The shorter the odds that a bookie offers, the more it spurs the lefties into believing that it'll happen and so on and so on. Money for old rope. William Hill's ain't fools. Mind you as there is a general election on average every 4 years, the odds of an election in any one year are 4/1. Although they do shorten considerably if the Prime Minister thinks his party can gain a landslide victory.
Grandad.Malky
. Although they do shorten considerably if the Prime Minister thinks his party can gain a landslide victory. What like the one that the Tories were going to get. Now here's the funniest thing. The shorter the odds that a bookie offers, the more it spurs the lefties into believing that it'll happen and so on and so on. Money for old rope. William Hill's ain't fools. I don’t believe that the bookies ask you your political persuasion before taking your money.
Berberis
What like the one that the Tories were going to get. I do not remember a single Tory or political pundit make that claim.
