iansheff
If the car is insured and she gets on to her insurance company they will sort the impound fee out If she does then she will probably lose her no claims plus the excess will probably be more than the compound fee, a no win situation. Conrod
Isn’t that what insurance is for? Most people's excess figure will be more than that, so the recovery cost will be lost and it's unlikely that the presents will be covered either, not to mention the inconvenience of having to travel to collect the car and have any break-in damage repaired. People who do this sort of thing really don't deserve to breath air.
Jonny5
It's a nasty thing to happen but then again keeping all the kids presents in a car is not the wisest thing to do.

Alex C.
If it was parked on a drive, many policies have cover for 'contents in the open' which will cover any items taken from a locked car (except for car accessories etc) as long as it was stolen from the property.
