The Old Testament law commanded the death penalty for various acts:

 

murder (Exodus 21:12),

 

kidnapping (Exodus 21:16),

 

bestiality (Exodus 22:19),

 

adultery (Leviticus 20:10),

 

homosexuality (Leviticus 20:13),

 

being a false prophet (Deuteronomy 13:5),

 

prostitution and rape (Deuteronomy 22:24),

 

and several other crimes.

 

I know but this was the man-made law of the Levite priests which the Pharisees followed religiously and Jesus had some very harsh things to say to them about it.

Seeing as Muslims turn often to the Old Testament, why not take the next step and follow the teaching of Jesus?

 

There are lots of Muslims who already do.

But he also never came to change or abolish The Law (what you follow is the teaching of Paul not Jesus- yet you call Jesus your saviour and Lord.

So Jesus taught his people to follow the law, and he also said that his mission wasn't to abolish the law, in other words the law was still applicable and to be followed.

 

Now lets see what paul says on this matter in the NT:

(Galatians 5:5-6)

 

Paul even goes as far as saying that the law was weak and powerless:

 

(Romans 8:3)

 

So this is what we have, according to Jesus:

 

-Follow the Law

 

-The Law isn't abolished or destroyed

 

According to Paul:

 

-No need for the Law

 

-The Law is Weak

 

-The Law cannot save you

 

-Faith can only save you

 

 

You can see a big difference in how Jesus taught and what the supposed apostle Paul taught.

 

This is how Jesus advised and answered a man who asked him somethings:

 

(Mark 10:17-21)

 

If he went to Paul and asked the same question, would he get the same answer? The answer is quite obvious, Paul would give a completely different reply to that of Jesus, and the above verses prove it, Jesus said follow the Law, Paul said no need for the Law; it's all about the faith, a completely different response to that of Jesus!!!

 

So Graham, bow down to your Lord, Paul.

 

Paul was saying the law cannot save us, only faith in Jesus can do that.

And tell is a straightforward way. Is Jesus the son of God? yes or no. Did God create the earth as in the old testament? yes or no. Or are you selective in which bits you believe? yes or no

It isn't like that. People follow the teaching of a dead man but Christians don't, and the main point is that Jesus, according to Christianity conquered death and hell.
