Oh yeah, they got knocked down by the ruling Islamic occupiers (it was a Hindu long before Islam was invented), generally Mosques being built in their place! A bit like what christianity did to the countries that it invaded (old pagan worship places had massive christian churches built on them to try to convert the pagans of Europe. You mean: Come on then Grahame, explain how the Holy wars and the fighting in Ireland was nothing to do with religion and why God and the Old Testament aren't part of Christianity? And tell is a straightforward way. Is Jesus the son of God? yes or no. Did God create the earth as in the old testament? yes or no. We have discussed this before particuarally the Irish question which was political. You need to understand that people use labels that may not be accurate, for example people in the east think of the western world as being Christian, but you have just told me that is not correct. That isn't quite true. Pagans worshipped round the Yew Tree. There was nothing to demolish and no one destroyed the Yew trees, ask the medieval archers.
