daftlad
The reaction to these laughable attempts to stir things up is about what we'd expect - some people say they're stupid, some say they're offensive, and they've managed to make the national media, so the authors will be pleased as punch. If the situation were reversed then yes, the Muslims would be having purple fits as was the case with the cartoon saga, but that's just the way they are - they come from primitive cultures and behave as though they were still in the third world. It's just that they have a different way of expressing their passions. Many of us, me included, might be tempted to pen a sternly-worded letter to somebody if we felt really vexed on a subject, while our Muslim immigrant cousins would rather burn effigies and demand deaths. Just a culturally different way of expressing displeasure I suppose. very true and if you look at the news today a suicide bomber has killed 40 people at a food distribution centre in Pakistan near the Afghan border. And these muslim fanatics think we are not right in the head. Killing fellow muslims by way of a suicide bomb is something seriously delusional and sets any arguments by fanatics like him as absolutely worthless

Milford
No we don't Grahame - what's here and now is what counts. There is nothing else So you feel that you speak for every person in the UK? That anybody who doesn't attend church every Sunday automatically agrees with you? You're deluding yourself.

Lestat
No-one suggests that they are. But if that is how a state which is avowedly Moslem behaves, and behaves BECAUSE it is Moslem, we're entitled to believe that possibly Moslems behave like that because they are moslem. It's not rocket science, this. What a load of codswallop!... take a look outside your window, even venture out if you dare - im sure 99% of muslim people you will meet will exchange a merry christmas greeting with you.. and not chase you down the street with a machete wanting to stone you. Get a grip.
