bobbie
There is a ticking timebomb up ahead with the amount of elderly people who will be in our society. Give it around 30 or 40 years, and society will have a serious problem funding the old, will society be prepared to support and ever growing population of over 70's whose health problems will be a burden to future generations. So what can be done? obviously, the government of the future will never put forward a policy of euthinasia for everyone when they reach the age of 68 years old as this would never get voted for. So perhaps a more subtle way of doing this is to get the younger generation (todays 18 - 35 year olds) to take up a lifestyle that will make them die at an earlier age? get the young to binge drink heavily, sell it as a recreational means of socialising, decriminalising drugs/get the young dependant on drugs, create a lifestyle for the young which means many will suffer obesity whilst still in their 20s. A future ticking timebomb? and ageing population? does anyone believe that? I can see todays young, many will not get to retirement age. Perhaps the government has in a very subtle way solved the problem of a so called future ageing population?

bobbie
Doesn't bother me, I thinking that they are encouraging a lifestyle that will make certain that old age won't be a problem for future generations, using lifestyle choices as a means of achieving this goal

I'm sure the age time bomb will sort it's self out probably in the guise of a new super bug.

The only changes that are necessary (and are already happening) is to make people work for longer.
