Help - code for car radio

Hello,

 

I've been without use of my car radio for a couple of months now due to a breakdown. Once it was fixed, my radio wouldn't start without a code. But my dealer never gave me one.

 

I've found a couple of websites that promise to provide codes, but I'm suspicious as they want my card details so I can pay them.

 

Anyone got any recommendations?

 

It's a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2, but that doesn't necessarily tell you the type of radio.

Is it a standard stereo or an aftermarket one?

 

 

If the standard one, give your nearest Vauxhall dealer a ring and see what they will charge to get the code.

Can you remove the radio, sometimes the code is printed on the radio.

 

Failing that if it was factory fitted and you ring the main dealer, if you give the chassis number they should give you the code for the radio. (Thats what ford do)

Try the dealer first, at least you don't have to remove the radio then.

 

At work we used to have a sticker on a card in the owners manual/service record book.
