Space Posted December 25, 2010 Share Posted December 25, 2010 I'd say the best 4x4 would be the Land Rover Discovery, but are probably expensive to maintain. The other option would probably be the Suzuki Grand Vitara or something like that. Cheaper to buy and servicing is cheaper (although not cheap at dealers). Downside was only 3 doors and a boot which could hold about 1 bag of shopping. Would recommend if you only need it as a 2nd car really. biotechpete Posted December 26, 2010 Share Posted December 26, 2010 As long as your not wanting to do any hard core off-roading, you'd probably find a 4x4 estate car better for mpg. The octavia scout for example will do over 50mpg (what car lists av. mpg 57.4). You'd probably find that people are kinder to you in traffic too.
