It is perhaps impossible to imagine what her parents must be feeling right now. There are times during an investigation when someone is not a suspect, and then they become one, or indeed they are the perpetrator. If you ever saw the news during the case of those little girls- Hollie Wells & Jessica Chapman, Ian Huntley was the “helpful” caretaker.
