jongo
But we're not talking about Boxing Day falling on a Saturday, we're talking about it being moved to a Monday because traditionally Sunday was a day of worship. Anything else you try to add to the debate is entirely superfluous. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&safe=off&rlz=1T4GUEA_enGB384GB384&defl=en&q=define:superfluous&sa=X&ei=zBkXTbukCMaChQeB6fS2Dg&ved=0CBYQkAE:D No, YOU are talking about it being moved, I am just pointing out to you that the day stays the same, the holiday, bank or public is moved... You are failing big time and clutching at straws Lets go by your own reasoning shall we? Boxing Day falls on Sunday, ok Bank Holiday is moved because of this, ok So...... This year, as is stated in calendars and diaries, The Bank Holiday for Boxing Day is Tuesday The Bank Holiday for Christmas Day is Monday So, by your own reasoning, is it Christmas Day tomorrow, or was it yesterday ? The problem is I never mentioned Bank Holidays.......you brought that red herring into the mix. http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/red-herring.html I was simply making the factual point that historically in this country Boxing Day has always been on the Monday when xmas day falls on the Saturday.
