bobbie
Petrol has gone up in recent days in with the VAT increase in January it will go up by another 2.5%, so at current prices of 1.25p per litre, that should add about another 4p to a litre + a couple of pence extra............so we should expect prices to be around 1.33p by the 2nd week in Jan. But how high does petrol have to go? do you communte to work, will you soon have to ask your boss for extra cash to pay the petrol? or are you self employed and use petrol as an expense/a way to fiddle your taxes, if so petrol increases are a good thing. Tradescanthia
Price is controlled by demand, so cut out all journeys you dont have to do. If we all did that then it would come down. So would boycotting the big oil companys on a week by week basis, Esso this week, Shell/BP next etc. When it gets too expensive we wont be able to go to work, then Cameron and Clegg will poop their pants. chem1st
It's going up to £1.50 by April, easily. 5p next week. + Penny a week as the currency devalues and inflation bites from the QE.

chem1st
The cost of driving is extortionate for people nowadays. The young must pay £3000 to insure a £200 car. That's £60 a week. Before tax and petrol. That is a hell of a lot of money. For that price you'd expect 100s of 1000s to be dying on the roads and the average car to be writ off within the year.
