agreed the front just make the fog brighter, and if using the rear light stop 1 plonker from hitting my back end in the fog its worth it

 

Indeed so, when the fog reduces visibility to less than 100 yards. In other circumstances, it is more likely to cause someone to hit your back end, since the fog lights are so bright they may not see your brake lights come on.

 

There's a reason why it is illegal to use fog lights when visibility is not poor!
