medusa
retired - that is exactly what I am talking about. 13 hours in A&E with an erection that feels like it may actually pop isn't the kind of help I was looking for! I knew someone with erectile dysfunction who only took like a quarter of a pill and similar kind of story. I think they should make the drug in tiny doses. Flowersfade - what other solutions can a western doc prescribe for erectile dysfunction apart from counselling? All the drugs I've heard are just generics of viagra. they work in exactly the same way There are a number of other drugs, a number of non-medication options including surgical possibilities and there are also things which can change whether the dysfunction is present in the first place, such as treating blood pressure and diabetes issues. Please reserve any further action until you have seen your GP and had whatever investigations may be needed to find out the cause of the issues that you are having. And you also need to be aware that a number of things, including both viagra and some of the herbal/Chinese herbal medications are unsuitable for people with some medical issues so you really need a check up before deciding to take any of them. scooby_s
if u could flowersfade I would appreciate it. I do understand what you and medusa are saying. Like all blokes who develop impotence you are extemely traumatised by this and want a solution NOW. But I guess I'm going to just have to be sensible and have patience and go through the proper channels i.e my GP and do what she recommends. mr.blaze
kamagra jellys. They contain Sildenafil, the same drug found in Viagra. Would be my first choice too though : )
Flowersfade
Hi scooby My Pm is playing up but heres my advice Hi there, Here are list of things that may help improve your condition. As you are aware there are oral meds Such as Viagra and Levitra. They both have a good success rate. There is an injection you can have directly to your area. Of course there is counselling and in some cases vacume's may be used. Another option is vascular surgery. whichever option you go with I hope your problem is solved. Please go see your Gp as we are there to help you. Regards
lolli_pop
what other solutions can a western doc prescribe for erectile dysfunction apart from counselling? All the drugs I've heard are just generics of viagra. they work in exactly the same way You may have undiagnosed diabetes, in which case it can be treated. That's one example, there are other possibilities. It makes sense to rule out any underlying issue. Alternative medicines can have side effects just as conventional medicines can (if they have any effect at all then they will have side effects). scoop
You should defo see your GP, they may have idea's about physical causes and wish to explore these further. At the end of the day though, it's more than likely to be psychological in origin, and counselling may help - or even taking sildenafil as a "crutch" to see you through this temporary glitch will ease the stress a littled. scooby_s
thanks flowersfade, I did get your pm. The problem is your mailbox is full, u need to delete items from both inbox and sent. Sheffield forum gives a very low mailbox limit. I did reply but won't let me deliver as your box is full. So this is what I said. thanks for taking the time to write to me, I appreciate it. I will go and see my GP. I think the first thing to do though is check that there is no underlying medical reason for my present problem. The thing about erectile dysfunction is that is gradually creeps on you and isn't so noticeable when you are single. As soon as you have a new partner, it is VERY noticeable. Thanks again. strangeart
There is an excellent clinic in Sheffield called Porterbrook clinic. Your doctor should be able to refer you.
