JayNTray
Haven't got a particular car in mind but there are a few things I want the car to have. I'm finding it hard to find anything I like so i'm looking for suggestions and advice if you can offer it! It has to be / have: diesel 5 doors power steering electric windows central locking hatchback up to 100,000 miles on clock and around the 2000 - 2500 mark. I've searched the web and auto trader but nothing is jumping out at me as yet. Any advice much appreciated.

alchresearch
Peugeot 306 or 307, although you'll be hard pressed to get a 306 with under 100,000 miles for a grand.
lynsey82
Yeah I agree, Peugot 307. They're great cars and u should be able to pick one up for that price, my mum recently bought one cos she was so impressed with my 407 which is fantastic but still a little bit over your budget i think. Dave_H
Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDi. Loads of room and huge boot Good fuel economy Pretty reliable and well proven Not too hard to get hold of with reasonable mileage.
GrannyGranny
Mondeo TDCi, better value than the Focus. get the 130 either Zetec or Ghia/X. It will have all the toys and possibly climate/leather on the Ghia X. Possibly a Mazda6 with a little haggling.
