Kaimani Posted January 6, 2011 Share Posted January 6, 2011 truth is, it doesn't matter how old Aisha was, what the age of consent was in the sates 1889, or that in some cultures it is still acceptable to 'speak for' a new born girl then marry her when she turns ten or whatever. it is wrong in this country, and most in the world. it's just wrong. and though political leaders still have personal lives, and so they should, some things have to be beyond defending. to say 'it's not so bad coz someone else used to do it, or still does it' is the lowest form of defense. anything but disgust at this is disgusting. No so if someone wants to do it they can. this 'Muslims do this, Muslims do that' thing is usually mixed with ignorance about cultures. there are many different 'Muslim countries' with different cultures. different thing are acceptable there because of different culture. females circumcision is rife in some African Muslim countries but you don't get it anywhere else. this is cultural. it's laughable to say 'Muslims force female circumcision.' the same is with christian or circular countries. different things happen there because of culture, not religion and to say it happens in a 'Muslim, christian, secular' country so it must only be because of religion is mistaken. shouldn't we all be condemning this EDL animal unanimously? Yes it does matter, lets say if in 20 yrs time the age of consent was raised to 21 in this country then that would make many people who had sex at between 16-25 a peadophile and open to being deemed a peado.
