unusual Posted January 6, 2011 Share Posted January 6, 2011 i know this isnt in the right area but hopefully it will get re-directed. i am asking for someone else (like you do)! can anyone tell me if you are 65 and claim pension credit how much in savings you are allowed to have before you have to start paying rent and council tax? i am new to the forum so hope i've posted it right. thankyou for any help. It depends on whether you are claiming Pension Credit because you have a low income, or you are claiming the savings element only. £10k is mentioned on the website.
