Real-Life Superhero Fights Crime In US City

Recommended Posts

78 Ford Pinto, that says it all.

But it's powered by a Chevy big block 396 cu.in 6.5L V8.

When superhero answers a call of distress and floors the pedal that sucker goes up on it's rear tires and leaves a trail of burning rubber half a mile long :hihi:

We've had two Capris in our time ( late 70s ) They were better than any Pinto, but not much. At least they didn't explode.

The Pinto was one of a bad bunch of small cars made in the US in the 60s/70s.

There was also the Chevy Vega and the rear engined Chevy Corvair although the Corvair was pretty good at getting out of snowdrifts.... if you could get it's air cooled engine to start up when it was 20 below zero

There was another disaster made by AMC which looked like a bubble car, a 2 door, with the passenger side door wider than the driver side. I forget what it was called. although it might have been called the Avenger. We were still importing British Leylands then, but that Lucas ignition spelled doom.

Ahhh.....the AMC Pacer. One of the chicks on Charlie's Angels drove one. Ugly as all get out.

As for the OP, I'm all for everyday folk getting involved in keeping crime at bay but maybe without the tights.

"Only in America" they say.

Which we know is not correct (we've had/got) our own set of loonies (usually referred to as eccentic or - as a collective - the government):D.

That link simply proves that care in the community has failed (or there are a lot more loons out there than we originally thought).

BTW. Somebody should tell someone in the Whitehouse that Bin Laden is not in Afghanistan, but is alive, well, living in Carbondale, Illinois‎ and is dressed in green:thumbsup::D.

It was called the Pacer. Looked like a Disney cartoon car. A real turkey.

They were shipping them to California without air conditioning :hihi:

They hardly sold any as in summer with those big windows they turned into mobile infernos. Later they added air conditioning no charge.

Another one was the AMC Gremlin which was as ugly looking as the Pinto.

The Plymouth Arrow was another abortion on wheels

As for Lucas their products were unlovingly referred to as "Lucas, the Prince od Darkness" :hihi:
