Straw criticised for abuse comments !

Recommended Posts

The articles I read on the BBC website described them as 'Asians' not muslims, some people argue that it was not relevant to describe them as such because it was 'stereotyping'.

The issue I have is that some would prefer them not to be described as such for fear of upsetting 'Asians' and those who prefer the media etc to be 'politically correct' in which case it is bordering on censorship !

It is only natural to be descriptive, so why should people be subject to criticism for describing things as they see fit ?

The trouble is, because they've been falling over themselves not to offend one particular group (they won't use the M word), they've ended up causing offence to my other people that also fall into the same group (Asian).

These media sources didn't see fit to describe these unsavoury creatures as white or Christian, perhaps because it was irrelevant to their offending behaviour.

Maybe they're all Muslims, but something they definitely have in common with the Asian/Muslim paedophiles is that they used grooming techniques to snare their victims.

Read Michael_W's post I was replying too then read my reply

Yep, Michael said the media avoid using the word "muslim" when describing these cases, you agreed with him, and I've just demonstrated you're both talking rubbish, the men WERE described in the media as muslims, although the judge made it clear in the sentencing that they weren't devote mosque-goers.

So you're wrong.

The point being though bf, is if they had, would they have been criticised for doing so ?

No Michael_W didn't say "the media", Spindrift telling lies again. This is what Michael_W wrote, you can see the original post above. He said the BBC website, which is what I was replying to, so stop fabricating your lies.
