I didn't live on Springwater Avenue, but a girl who I fancied like mad did. I was 10-11 years old then (1964-65) and she lived on the right where the houses are set back just after coming off Birley Spa Lane, i think. Oh her name was Barbara Allen and she was fab. P.S. Limes club was on the right going down Barnsley Rooad near towards Northern General Hospital. I once played a snooker match there many moons ago. I lived on Springwater Ave and as a kid witnessed two blokes literally fighting for the above named lady's affections.
