Derbies this season!!

The good thing this year for us owls is that no one actually fancies us to beat the blades. You only have to look at Matt's response to see how confident they are.

We still have a bit of time to go yet but if the game was tomorrow i'd be building my hopes on defending well and trying to nick a goal at the other end.

But long may Utd-ites confidence continue because the higher it is the bigger the bite (people inform me Boxing Day was very similar! :D)

Personally i'm hoping for a least one win out of the two.

Derbies are tough ones because League form goes out of the window.

To be honest, I'd settle for W*dn*sd*y taking 6 points off us, as long as we went up :)

& ID SETTLE FOR THE BLUNTS TAKIN 6 POINTS OFF US... AS LONG AS WE STAYED UP....:D

Ive said b4 and i'll say it again.... with..... bible...crucifix and holy water in hand....

for the way we have started the season anything better than a draw for us at the lane is a massive bonus for us and below Expectations for the blunts... im gonna go for... (sits and prays)

a 1-1 draw at the lane... and a 1-1 draw at hillsborough or a 1-2 to the blunts... but our feb date is a long way off yet so maybe if we can get sorted out ... anything aslong as we are not relegated this season please....

:suspect:

Well Wolves really did well against Burnley,The Hodd Squad are cert draw specialist's along with Leicester, although I rate Cort & Miller they did nothing in the Premiere League when Wolves layed down like sheep & died.Utd should have won against Reading we were by far the classier team & the penalty that never was ,was the worst decision along with the Kenny hand ball I ever seen.As for both drbies Utd will win both by a cricket score,no doubt.UP THE TOP BLADES

Reckon this season's derbies could be the best since the early 90's....

I honestly would not be surprised if we drew at Hillsborough

1-1 / 2-2 and then beat em at the Lane 1-0 after getting murdered for 90 minutes :hihi:

I can't wait for Piggy Quinn's return to S6

Erm... I think you will find the Lane match is played before the Hillsborough match.

Although I expect the Blades to do better over the 2 matches, and over the season in general, local derbies are very difficult to predict. Who would have thought Rotherham's first win late last season would be against Leeds? Or that the Pig's first win this season would be against Leeds?

Erm... Yeah I know! But as a Wednesday fan the Hillsborough match is the most important, just as the Bramall Lane match should be more important to you.

I agree on paper utd look a good side, but until they prove thereselves against Wolves, leeds etc... they can't sing from the rooftops just yet !

Joe..

Wolves and Leeds :suspect::gag: Let me guess 2 clubs who should by divine right be in the Premiership along with wendy because you are all MASSIVE clubs.

I for one am not singing from the rooftops because in my lifetime i have seen many dissapointments following the Blades but, get the feeling this could be our year.

As for your proving ourselves comment I am Just trying to think who wendy have played thats any cop and they are 3rd from bottom :hihi: :hihi: And i also think seriously that teams have to prove themselves against us this season not us prove ourselves to them.

As for the derbies 2-0 Blades at BDTBL and 1-1 at Swillsborough
