bungleboy69 Posted January 10, 2011 Share Posted January 10, 2011 I know its a bit outside Sheffield but we went camping last weekend and found a new Italian restaurant, 1539, on the main drag in Castleton. Food and service very good. Most of it reasonably well priced although one item on the menu, a steak at nearly £30 stood out. Most other dishes were priced well below this! I had a pizza and my missus had a roast squash pasta. Both were nice, I ate all mine and finished hers too. We shared a desert which was very nice too. We particularly enjoyed it because we had a rubbish meal at one of the pubs in the village the night before and also the fact that they open till later than some other places to eat out there. Oh and walking distance from the campsite via a few pubs. Think the chef is from the Losehill Wedding venue, dont know if thats good as we have never eaten there.
