Over 60,000 asylum seekers go missing

Recommended Posts

It's not like it's only been a problem since May 2010, so I don't think it's just a question of funding. The very fact that we allow many asylum seekers to live here in the general public whilst their case is looked at, rather than detaining all of them in a holding centre, means inevitably some will melt away. Part of the problem is how long it takes for cases to reach conclusion, no doubt greatly stretched out by Human Rights lawyers, thanks to the ECHR.

where are we going to get holding center big enough to hold a few hundred thousand people minimum

It's not a few hundred thousand people, why do people hysterically inflate the numbers of those seeking asylum?

net immigration last year was 140,000 people, an increase of less than a quarter of one per cent of the population.

We give them nursing home and care

But obviously they are not recorded or have contributed to the welfare state system so how can they be entitled to any benefits ?

When a situation occurs when they need care home help they will be identified as being here illegaly, what then ?

Oh, you meant that they would need a care home, I thought they just worked in them.

looking for them all is not really feasible. just not enough money for it. most are illigal but work under false names, black market etc, fake passports and pay taxes and NI they never use.

the only real solution, hard to swallow as it it, is the blanket amnesty for those here for over however long agreed without criminal records then start over really. control the border better etc. if there's a better and workable solution not sure what it is.
