The Ivory (Harrisons)

Hi,

In the past I have been a big fan of The Ivory just off West Street but in recent years it seems to have changed hands a few times and I was wondering what it is like now? Has anyone been recently? Do they still serve food and if so is it as good it used to be?

I went when it first opened and was far from impressed. Cocktails weren't authentic and there was a poor selection.

 

However, it may have improved as it has been about a year since I went.

When did this happen? The geezer who had it up until recently never tried as hard as he should have I reckon to get the place going and advertised - for example taking no part in the Tramlines Festival, advertised in Beer Matters etc.

I was in there on the Saturday night for Tramlines 2010 and it was absolutely packed. They had about 6 or 7 different DJ's on, and it was in the official programme as hosting Jenny Fu/Delve Deeper.

 

Also, it's not under new management. It's the starting point on my usual crawl and there's a few different members of staff compared to when I first went in, but it's the same manager.
