So, are you saying we should always make sure we have a lot of illegal immigrants who can be used and abused, live illegally and contravening human rights? I'm not blaming anyone, I'm saying we all, apart from you obviously, benefit from having a migrant workforce doing the jobs the indigenous refuse. We have an army of cleaners, veg pickers, catering staff and care staff who work, contribute and help support the country. Think about it, they had the courage and determination to leave the country of birth to seek a better life- that's why immigrants are often highly motivated and successful. the richest man in Britain is an immigrant. In 2007, the city had some 518,000 illegal immigrants or 6.9% of the 7.5 million population, the mayor said in an e-mailed press statement this earlier month, quoting new research from the London School of Economics (LSE). And what percentage of those would go straight on to benefits? The underpaid and illegal jobs they were doing would no longer be viable or available, so they would be jobless and in the same boat as everybody else. What a load of twaddle, do tell us what care staff are working illegaly. The indigenous do the jobs for the basic wage, the illegals work long hours for below the basic wage this has been proven time and time again and if you don't believe that then you're living in Never Never Land .
