Guest sibon
I tried earlier but it took about five minutes to load up so I gave up - going to try again tomorrow. And they say that turkeys don't vote for Christmas:D I've signed.

Alcoblog
Just signed too ... bit worried that I may become electronic 'discard' though! He seems to be overfishing for people signing up ... he's alredy nearly achieved his quota and it's going 'til summer! Do you think I'll be discarded ? Good luck to Hugh! ... total hero! LordChaverly
What is missing from this campaign is the EU context. The CFP never suited the UK and we should never have signed up to it. we should campaign to leave the CFP, by seeking an opt out, as the prospects for serious reform are minimal. ChrisT70
i fancied trying the mackerel baps as well, looked nice. discard is a criminal waste of good fish, and sums up the EU policy process as being idiotic at best.
espadrille
Over a quarter of a million people signed.. Just shows the power of famous people when it is a worthy cause, many people will get involved.
espadrille
very worthy cause, the programme was quite shocking last night. best bet was when the locals quite rightly "retrieved" some of the discard! I loved that bit. The dogs were in doggy heaven too.
discodown
I can't believe the idiocy of the policy. How can it conserve stocks? We all know wasting food is just not right but the sheer amount of waste is absolutely shocking
