If he agreed (at least in part) for those reasons, then surely that was why! Is CND anti war in general? radar Posted January 16, 2011 Share Posted January 16, 2011 He didn't do any such thing, despite various parts of the media deliberately editing his comments to imply that he had.I beg to differ sir and in support of my position I quote you his words,“We need to get the Pakistani community to think much more clearly about why this is going on and to be more open about the problems that are leading to a number of Pakistani heritage men thinking it is OK to target white girls in this way,” Now, we may differ in opinions on why the so called 'problem' exists but that doesn't take anything away from the fact that Mr Straw actually stereotyped the whole community, although he did accept that While most sex offenders were white, “there is a specific problem which involves Pakistani heritage men... who target vulnerable young white girls” I wouldn't have thought much editing was necessary to change the message of Mr Straw, it was quite clear what he was saying. Why should anybody be punished for the actions of another person? That's a common cultural practice in some traditional communities. I wonder if Bounce shares that mindset?
