I am asking the original poster MAMALOCHA!

No you were not - you quoted my previous post and then asked me the question. That's not asking someone else, that's asking me.

In response I gave you the answer that I will paraphrase again for you - Aska rabbi. I deal with geology and the age of the Earth is something that get's measured in billions of years, not mere thousands.

The Law of Love is the Golden Rule, known as the Golden Law since the 1600's. It is a universal law and we were discussing it yesterday. Then everyone went into thread spoiling mode and started talking rubbish which I have reported.

:huh::huh::huh:

I seem to recall you were also ascribing it to the Middle Kingdom and also to Confucious - both of which were at lot further back than the 17c.

The golden rule only works if everyone thinks the same and follows it, which they don't. So your claim it is universal is false.

It's also rubbish:

When the Chinese philosopher K'ung-Tzu (known as Confucius in the West) was asked in the sixth century B.C. his opinion of the Golden Rule - of repaying evil with kindness - he replied, "Then with what will you repay kindness?"

So neither of you are interested in the law of love

You claimed that it is universal. Your claim has been proven wrong. How is that "thread spoiling" when the topic is "10 things the bible says you can't do that you do anyway."? If anyone is guilty of taking the thread into these demented realms then it is you as all you've done is take the thread OT into a discussion about non-existent "universal rules".
