smithy266
I have never fancied a cruise, though we used to love chartering a Thames barge for the odd weekend. Bit of a difference, admittedly!
Glamrocker
We usually go away to maybe Turkey or Egypt but with the unrest in Tunisia and the danger of spreading unrest in muslim countries I think we will probably go to Spain this year or maybe have a complete change and stay at home. Berberis
I would advise Menorca
donnygirl
When my kids were young people used to say Menorca but we always went for Los Cristianos in Tenerife at the end of September just as the weather started to cool down. Look at the Atlantida apts in Los Cristianos. I think they are used by Thomson.

Best holidays we've ever had have been on a cruise ship!! You ought to try it.

Rupert_Baehr
Tunisia is in the news at the moment as 'The place not to go' but don't forget the other countries which turned on those holidaymakers whose tour companies failed last summer. It wasnt the fault of the holidaymakers that the companies with which they'd booked had failed and the people operating the hotels in various resorts should have been aware that they would be paid eventually. That didn't stop a number of them from demanding 'on the spot' (additional) payments from the tourists (who were under enough stress already) and from - in some cases - booting them out of their hotels. The tour operators are no longer there, but the hoteliers in those resorts are still around. I'd be very wary indeed of going to one of those places. selphie
We went to Club Lagotel in Play de Muro near Alcudia, Majorca last year. The facilities were fantastic, Short walk to the town and beach. The hotel and First Choice staff entertained our kids most of the time which meant we could take full advantage of the free bar. Food was ok, got a bit repetitve by about day 9 but we won about £600 on the bingo so ate out for the last few nights. Rooms are big, hotel is clean and there's entertainment every night. We saw the human flag!!! Facilities excellent and lots of activities for the adults too like archery and shooting. There is also about 5 pools!! Could not fault it. Cost us about £1700 for 2 adults and 2 children.
Ann
Can you recommened any cruise ships for families with small kids? I'd try P&O - their kids clubs are fantastic. Ventura is a very big ship and is advertised as family friendly. Our friends took their children on P&O Oceana in May last year and the kids loved it. They were 3 and 5 at the time.
