Scrap thief who got electric shock at substation

Recommended Posts

I'd have thought the burns and 9 weeks in hospital is a far more divine punishment than anything the courts can bestow.

He's also got a 12-month suspended sentence hanging over him to encourage him to be good.

YEDL could bring a civil case to recover their costs for the damage he caused, if they want.

yes and hopefully his internal organs have taken a battering so cannot see him drawing his pension...thankfully

It's the ones who nick the copper from the railways that really get my goat.

Massive disruption for the travelling public, just to make a few quid.

What we really need to see is the scrap merchants getting prosecuted, not just the druggies and thieves who do the nicking. If there wasn't a market, they wouldn't nick it in the first place.

scum lists (ranking order?)

copper/scrap thieves stealing from hospitals , substations and railways

burglars destroying peoples homes and taking hard earned possesions

conmen who defraud pensioners in their own home posing as water board etc.

why arent these people sent down for a long time rather than getting community service etc?

luckily some of the scrap thieves dont have the sense or nouse to steal dead cables and will hopefully fry as a a result.:hihi:
