The UK is the 6th / 7th largest manufacturing nation on the planet. That's not so bad is it? However, when if comes to government debt it's not so great. However, when if comes to government debt it's not so great. Ignoring the debt, according to the IMF Britain has the biggest budget deficit of any country in the G20.
